Ouch! Karthik Naren alleges Gautham Menon treated him & his crew like trash

If there is one filmmaker in recent times that made the audience take notice of him soon after his debut, it is director Karthik Naren. After the success of his first film Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru, the young filmmaker began working on his second film titled Naragasooran. Said to be an intense thriller, the shoot of the film began with Aravind Swamy, Shriya Saran, Sundeep Kishan and Aathmika in leading roles. The film made headlines when the shoot began, as director Gautham Menon produced the film. However, things aren’t looking positive for the team now.
It all started when Gautham Menon posted a video made by a young team which spoke about the IPL and Chennai Super Kings. Gautham Menon tweeted that young filmmakers should not whine about their passion getting butchered. He did so without mentioning the name of the person. This tweet caught the attention of Karthik Naren who went on to tweet ”While everybody advised against it I had the pair to trust you & collaborate sir. In return we were treated like trash & made to invest on our own. I think its better to whine & confront instead of running away. Please don’t do this to any other young filmmaker sir. It hurts.”

While some young filmmakers whine about their passion getting butchered instead of growing a pair, here’s a young team that makes an interesting short about girls, women, cricket, CSK and liberation. What a https://t.co/dseipSKVrF very nicely done!— Gauthamvasudevmenon (@menongautham) March 27, 2018
Sometimes a misplaced trust may kill you. People should think twice before taking it for a ride. The last thing you want to see is your passion getting butchered from all the directions for a mistake you did not commit. Threshold!

Here’s hoping they solve their differences in private and resume the project.
