Malayalam actor Vijayan Peringode passes away

Popular Malayalam actor Vijayan Peringode has passed away after having suffered a cardiac arrest. He was 67 years old. Vijayan was taken to the hospital in Palakkad after he complained of chest pain.
Vijayan began his film career as a production executive. He made his film debut with Asthram in the year 1983, which was directed by PN Menon and starred Mohanlal, Mammootty, Nedumudi Venu and Bharath Gopi in the lead. He then went on to work in over 100 films including Mohanlal’s Oppam, Mammootty’s Pattalam and Dileep’s Meesa Madhavan to name a few popular ones. He last appeared in the film ‘1971 Beyond Borders’
He is survived by his wife Chanjalakshi and three children – Kannan, Anandapadmanabhan and Gayathri.
