From Mohanlal to Mammootty, stars sizzle at ‘AMMA Mazhavil’

It was a night to be remembered for several Malayalam movie enthusiasts who witnessed the starry Amma Mazhavil at Kerala’s capital Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday evening. Several Malayalam movie stalwarts, including icons Mohanlal and Mammootty, enthralled the audiences with skits and dance performances making fans go frenzy.

Organised by the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) along with Mazhavil Manorama, Amma Mazhavil began paid honour to late legends Madhu, G K Pillai, Janardhanan, K R Vijaya, Raghavan and Balachandran. The show proceeded with interesting performances by new-gen actors such as Kalidas, Shaheen, Sinil, Reshma and others.

Father-son Mammootty and Dulquer Salmaan, along with megastar Mohanlal performed a skit in which Mohanlal was playing the role of a genie and Dulquer played the role of Alladin. If that wasn’t enough. Actor Mohanlal even performed a dance with Namitha Pramod and Shamna Kasim, and the audience loved it!

Actor-singer Vineeth Sreenivasan sang some of his superhit songs such as ‘Anuragathin Velayil. Another actor-singer who charmed the audience was Ramya Nambesan, who sang hit songs from her Tamil films.

What made the evening even special was Tamil actor Suriya’s presence in the event. We are sure the audience kick-started the month of May on a fun-filled, glitzy note.
