Pa. Pandi to be remade in Kannada

Last year Dhanush made his smashing directorial debut with the film Pa Paandi that starred Raj Kiran and Revathi in leading roles. The film revolved around the life of a retired stunt director and his quest to find his lady love. The film went on to win praises from audience and critics alike. It even grabbed the attention of Telugu and Kannada film industries, who were keen on doing a remake in the respective languages.

Now, the news is that this film will be made in Kannada starring veteran actor Ambareesh, who will be playing the role of Raj Kiran. Titled Ambi Ninag Vayassaiytho, the film will be directed by Gurudatta Ganiga and will see Sudeep playing Dhanush’s role in the film. He will also be producing the film. Initially, Suhasini Maniratnam was in talks to play Revathi’s role in the film. However, the news is that she has walked out of the film. Now, the makers are trying to zero in actresses Ramya Krishnan and Khushbu.
