In her next life, Shakeela wishes to be Kamal Haasan’s sister

One may know Shakeela as a glamorous heroine who appeared in soft-porn films in Malayalam cinema. After quitting the industry, she began appearing in character oriented roles in mainstream commercial films in the Telugu and Tamil industries. Now, a biopic pic on the actress is in the making and Richa Chadda will be playing Shakeela in the film. In a recent interview to News7 Tamil, Shakeela spoke about her experience of working in the film industry and the hardships she has faced.

She also shared her admiration for veteran actor Kamal Haasan. When the interviewer asked if Rajini or Kamal was her favorite, she said ”Kamal sir, I like all his films. I’ve watched all his films”. The interviewer went on to ask if she is interested to join politics just like Kamal, to which she said that she is still hesitant, however, she wishes to do well for people. She further went on to say ”if I am reborn on this Earth ever again, I wish to be Kamal Haasan’s sister”.

Shakeela’s 250th film Seelavathi was announced early 2018, however, there has been no further news about it.
