Kollywood has welcomed one of India’s popular models who has made her debut in Mani Ratnam‘s Chekka Chivantha Vaanam. Sounds like a dream debut isn’t it? That’s what model Dayana Erappa said at the audio launch of the film. She also said how happy she is to work with legends in her first film. Wondering who this new sultry beauty is? Dayana Erappa, hails from southern Coorg, Karnataka. She completed her education in Bangalore, and later went on to get training from Prasad Bidappa, a popular fashion stylist and choreographer who has the reputation of grooming some of India’s best models. This helped her to secure a position herself among the top 10 contestants for the Miss India pageant held in 2011. In 2012, Dayana represented India in Shanghai at Elite Model Look – one of the world’s most prestigious international modeling contest. Dayana then went on to create a mark in the Indian and international fashion scene. She has been a part of the 2015 Kingfisher She has also been a part of the Lakme Fashion Week, Amazon Fashion Week, Couture Week and many others.
She has featured in fashion magazines like Vogue, ELLE, Harper s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan and GQ to name a few. She has been a part of campaigns for top designers and brands such as Tarun Tahiliani, Manish Malhotra, Anju Modi, Shantanu Nikhil, Gaurav Gupta, Suneet Verma, Anita Dongre, Payal Singhal, Monisha Jaising, Lifestyle, Bhima Jewellery, and Azva Jewellery – and these are just a few names.
Dayana Erappa was seen opposite Simbu in Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, which released on 28th September.
