Vijay Deverakonda is all set to make his Tamil film debut with director Anand Shankar‘s NOTA. The actor, who is enjoying success, with blockbuster films such as Arjun Reddy and Geetha Govindam, will star as a politician in his first Tamil film. At the press meet of NOTA, Vijay Deverakonda took to say ”When I first met the press, I didn’t know a word of Tamil, but here I am now speaking in Tamil.” He said it was an honor working with Sathyaraj. He signed off by saying ”marana waiting” which he said he often finds in his tweets and a quote from Thirukkural that goes – I don’t want to conquer the world but the hearts of Tamil audience. He promised that it will be an amazing film which will hit theatres on 5th October.

Director Anand Shankar appreciated, Vijay Deverakonda. He said that he has worked as an assistant director in films which featured Ranbir, Suriya, and Vijay, but has never seen any actor display the passion and commitment, like Vijay Deverakonda. He went on to say that he has worked hard to get his Tamil right. He said ”I was able to shoot the film in 48 days, thanks to the actors and the producer’s support”. He also heaped praises on Sathyaraj, saying he agreed to do the film after he heard the story. He also spoke about music director Sam C. S, and that the music of the film will be grand.

Actor Sathyaraj said ”I loved playing this role as it gave me full liberty. I didn’t have to sport any accessories, or anything else. In my career of 41 years, this is the first time I’ve acted without makeup.” Actor Nassar heaped praise on Vijay Deverakonda, he said ”Deverakonda is a unique person, that’s why people follow him. NOTA will be a film which will celebrate actors, mine is a very hard-hitting character”.

NOTA also stars Mehreen Pirzada, Sanchana Natarajan, Karunakaran, M. S. Bhaskar, and Yaashika Aannand among others. It will release on 5th October, along with Trish and Vijay Sethupathy’s 96 and Vishnu Vishal and Amala Paul‘s Ratsasan.
