The team of Sarkar celebrates the film’s success

It was a special Sunday night for the team of Sarkar as they celebrated the film’s massive success in quite a simple manner. The music director of the film, A. R. Rahman took to his social media handle to post pictures from the event. Apart from A. R. Rahman, the picture featured Vijay, A. R. Murgadoss, lyricist Vivek and the film’s female leads – Keerthy Suresh and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar. The team also celebrated it with a cake that had miniature home appliances on them such as grinder and mixie. This representation comes as a cheeky move since the film recently fell into controversy when it depicted people throwing home appliances given by the government. After the political party AIADMK protested that the scenes offended and insulted the late CM Jayalalitha, the makers of the film, Sun Pictures decided to delete it from the film.

Despite this political outrage, the film has secured a solid place at the box office. Currently, the film has collected over 150 crores worldwide.
