SIIMA 2018 Nominations: Which star will bag the Best Actor (Telugu) Award?

Last week, we put out a poll on our Twitter handle DGZ Media, where we asked users to pick their choice for the Best Actor Category in Telugu. Within minutes, DGZ Media, along with the hashtags #SIIMA2018 and #PantaloonsSIIMA began trending on social media. The reason? The voting list comprised of two big names in the nominations, Jr. NTR and Prabhas. And their fans, who are quite active on social media began choosing answers, after which it began trending.

While many said JR. NTR would bag the award for his performance in Jai Lava Kusa, many others said Prabhas would bag the award for Baahubali 2. Jai Lava Kusa was Jr. NTR’s 27th film, and it starred him in triple roles. It has to be noted that JR. NTR won the Best Actor Award, for his film Nannaku Prematho in SIIMA 2017.

Baahubali 2 starred Prabhas playing king Baahubali and his son Shivudu. After receiving massive success with the Baahubali franchise, Prabhas became the first south Indian actor to have a wax statue in Madame Tussaud‘s wax museum. The Conclusion was made simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil and later dubbed into Hindi, Malayalam, Japanese, Russian and Chinese.

Meanwhile, Vijay Deverakonda has been nominated for his performance as the heartbroken lover in the film Arjun Reddy. While Rana Daggubati has been nominated for playing the role of the ambitious and cruel warrior Bhallaladeva in the film Baahubali 2. Nandamuri Balakrishna has been nominated for his performance as the action-hero in the film Gautamiputra Satakarni.
