Wamiqa Gabbi to star opposite Prithviraj in Nine

Earlier in March, Prithviraj had announced his collaboration with Sony Pictures India for his maiden production venture, Nine.. Directed by Jenuse Mohamed, who previously directed 100 days of love, Nine is said to be a thriller. Now, the makers of the film took to their social media page to announce the female lead of the film. Wamiqa Gabbi, who made her Malayalam debut with Godha in 2016, is the new addition to this ambitious project. She will play the character named Eva.

Wamiqa Gabbi, a Punjabi actress, appeared in a minor role in Imtiaz Ali’s Jab We Met. She made her Hindi film debut with Sixteen (2013). She also played the female lead in the Telugu film Bhale Manchi Roju (2015) and Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam (2016).

Meanwhile, Prithviraj is awaiting the release of his film Ranam and My Story, Prithviraj. And will soon work on director Blessy’s Aadujeevitham. His untitled film with director Anjali Menon, is set to hit screens on 6th July. The film also stars Nazriya and Parvathy in the lead.
