Writer Yaddanapudi Sulochana Rani Passes Away

Popular writer and novelist Yaddanapudi Sulochana Rani has passed away due to a heat stroke in the United States. She was 79 years old. She was staying at her daughter’s residence in the USA.
Yaddanapudi Sulochana Rani has written several novels, some of which has been adapted to television serials. Her novel Meena, was adapted by director Trivikram Srinivas for his film A Aa which starred Nithin and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead roles. It was previously adapted for the film Meena, which starred actor Krishna and his wife Vijaya Nirmala.
She wrote the story for the film Manushulu Mamathalu (1965) which starred Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Savitri and Jayalalitha in the lead. Some of her novels which were adapted into films include Secretary (1976), Agni Poolu (1981) and Bangarukalam (1974). Some of her novels were even adapted into television serials.
