2.0 sets new box-office record to become a mega blockbuster

Rajinikanth’s latest film 2.0 has set a new record at the box-office! The film has now grossed Rs 400 crore worldwide. According to the official handle of the film’s production, Lyca, the film has created history by becoming a megablockbuster. Lyca productions tweeted ”History in the making! 400 CRORES WORLDWIDE! Directed by Shankar, the film starred Rajinikanth in triple roles, while Akshay Kumar played the role of the antagonist named Pakshirajan. The film told the tale of an ornithologist-turned-evil birdman, who avenges to harm and kill humans for excessive use of mobile phones, which have killed birds. However, a scientist and his robotic inventions decide to take him down.

The film’s Hindi distributor, director Karan Johar tweeted that he is proud to associate with the team on the project. He tweeted ”MASSIVE SUNDAY!!!!! Enroute to crossing 100!! Prior to the film’s release, Rajinikanth predicted that the film will be a ‘super-duper hit’ and his words have now come true!
The music of the film was composed by A. R. Rahman. The film starred Amy Jackson as the female lead.
