Lingusamy reveals the one reason he admires Vishal

Director Lingusamy, who is known for making films such as Aanandham, Paiyaa, Run, and Anjaan, took to Irumbu Thirai‘s 100th-day celebration to speak about his association with Vishal.

Having worked with Vishal in Sandakozhi, and the yet-to-be-released Sandakozhi 2, he said ”When I first worked as an assistant director, it was a film for Vishal’s father, G. K. Reddy‘s film, back then my salary was 750, and I was the last AD. Despite my position, Vishal, who was studying in school back then was very friendly to me. He took me to the same stores, bought me the same food he had, there was no discrimination”.

He stated how much he appreciated his generosity. He went on to say ”When I finally became a director, I was working with actors Ajith and Madhavan, and during that time Vishal approached me to direct a film for him, that’s when Sandakozhi happened, the reason why I picked him despite him being new to the industry was his good-nature and generosity which he displayed during my struggling days”

Director Lingusamy and Vishal have worked on Sandakozhi 2, which is a sequel to the 2005 film Sandakozhi. It has to be noted that before the film went on floors, Vishal and Lingusamy decided to drop the project due to a misunderstanding. Sandakozhi 2 will hit screens in October. The film also stars Keerthy Suresh and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar in pivotal roles.
