Rajinikanth opens up about his equation with Kamal Haasan

Actor Rajinikanth is currently enjoying the success of his film 2.0 which is opening to positive reviews from the audience and critics alike. Directed by Shankar, it is India’s most-expensive film which is made on a budget of nearly 600 crores. In a recent interview to India Today, he spoke to Raj Chengappa  about his love for films. When he was asked about his equation with actor Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth opened up. He was asked ”Do you consider Kamal Haasan a rival now that both of you have decided to enter politics?” To which he said ” Rivals? Not at all. Says who? I won’t even say, competitor. My god, he is such a good friend. He is a co-star, in fact, in a serial he would help me even with the dialogue delivery, adjust dates for my sake. He is still a close friend of mine.”

Rajinikanth made his debut film debut with Apoorva Raagangal which starred Kamal Haasan in the lead role. The two have also appeared together in films like  Anthuleni Katha, Moondru Mudichu, Avargal, 16 Vayathinile, Aadu Puli Attam, Ilamai Oonjal Aadukirathu, Thappu Thalangal, Aval Appadithan, Allauddinum Albhutha Vilakkum, Natchathiram, Uruvangal Maralam, and Geraftaar.
