Will Vijay attend SIIMA 2018?

This year, Vijay has been nominated for in the Best Actor category for his performance in the film Mersal. When DGZ Media listed a poll on Twitter asking if Vijay or Vijay Sethupathi (Vikram Vedha) would win in the category, it results began trending on social media. The final results according to fans? Vijay! Mersal also made heads turn when it topped the poll for Best Film (Tamil) on Twitter.

Directed by Atlee, Mersal saw Vijay in triple roles. Apart from the film’s entertainment factor, A. R. Rahman’s music was also much-appreciated in the film. Mersal is also set to take over China. HGC Entertainment, who are planning to release the film have said “We found the story of Mersal to be a particularly touching story.” If it releases before Mammootty’s Peranbu, it will be the first Tamil film to release in China. Mersal has been nominated in 10 other categories in SIIMA. Produced under the banner Thenandal Studio Limited Mersal is one of the biggest hits in Vijay’s career.
