The film Sarkar criticized the welfare schemes done by the government and took a dig at the former chief minister late J Jayalalithaa. AIADM party members burnt down hoardings and banners demanding an apology from the team. The makers of the film, Sun Pictures, then decided to remove these scenes from the film. (This scene)
Now, actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan has voiced his views in support of A. R. Murugadoss. He posted ”Sarkar has been certified by CBFC. Yet Government dares to muffle the right of people to express. This is not democracy. Fascism was defeated before, will be done again. @ARMurugadoss”
