Does Aishwarya Rajesh play Trisha’s role in Saamy Square?

Director Hari and actor Vikram are working together for Saamy Square, the sequel to the hit film which released in 2003. Said to be an action entertainer, the film also stars Keerthy Suresh in the lead. In latest developments, actress Aishwarya Rajesh is the newest addition to the cast. In the recently released pictures, Aishwarya Rajesh is seen donning a traditional look. Rumours suggest that she will replace Trisha‘s role in the film. In Saamy, Trisha played the role of Vikram’s wife. It has to be noted that Trisha opted out of the film citing creative differences. Reports suggest that the story of the film will start off after the death of Perumal Pichai (played by Kota Srinivasa Rao), and his son Ravana Pichai will take on Aarusaamy. Bobby Simha is playing the role of the antagonist in the film.

This will be Aishwarya Rajesh’s second film with Vikram. She has previously worked with Vikram in Dhruva Natchatiram, which is yet to be released. Meanwhile, Aishwarya Rajesh also has Mani Ratnam’s Chekka Chivantha Vaanam and Sivakarthikeyan‘s first production Kanna lined up for release.
